Golden Goose Deluxe Brand is something I’ve always admired. They were launched back in 2000 after bringing together the talents of Francesca Rinaldo and Alessandro Gallo in Italy. As time went on, they have evolved into a huge designer brand with flagship stores in multiple countries, and it’s one that fashion fans can’t resist.
I’ve kept an eye on Golden Goose for some time and I would often check out the collection on FarFetch, as they always had an amazing selection, but I never ended up getting any because I always thought they were quite expensive and resembled Converse too much, so they were always saved for later. A few years earlier, Adam was the one who first got into the brand and he actually got his first pair of their Superstar sneakers last year, which was what pushed me to explore them deeper. Having seen his in person and realizing the uniqueness of each pair because they’re artisanal, I was even more curious. As the Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are pre-distressed and made to look used and abused, they are all hand done so they’re truly one-of-a-kind. Some have much more abrasions and dirt than others, so there’s a whole spectrum.
